Alex Outhwaite to represent UK in Turkey Peace Summit

London: Alex Outhwaite, international TV presenter and global brand ambassador of India's first BlogsWire has been selected as the United Kingdom (UK) delegate for the Global Peace Chain Summit to be held in Istanbul (Turkey) in October. 

Alex is known for her promotion of sustainable travel through her television shows and social media and has spent a lot of time in developing countries highlighting how responsible travel can bring income to new regions and protect the local heritage.

On her selection for the summit, Alex said, “I am looking forward to discussing ways in which we can work towards sustainable development and how sustainable tourism can be a factor in this. The Global Peace Chain Summit brings together innovative young minds from all over the world and is a great opportunity for diverse voices." 

Alex is fond of India and has travelled many parts of the country to shoot for her popular shows Off the Grid, Backpack and cooking show Quest. Her show ‘Off the Grid’ was nominated for Travel Show of the Year at the Indian Television Awards 2018. She has more than one lakh followers on Facebook alone and over 70 lakh views on her personal travel videos on Youtube.

Delegates from various countries have been invited for this peace summit, including India, Afghanistan, Albania, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Colombia, England, Germany, Kosovo, Mexico, Monaco, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania, Palestine, United Kingdom, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen and Zambia, etc.
