Record holders make India proud once again

  Mumbai:  The India Book of Records (IBR) is in the news once again for recognizing several top achievers in different fields. Some of these cases belong to the Asia Book of Records.   Maximum push-ups performed by a female in one minute The record for performing the maximum number of push-ups in one minute was set by Shaleni Banthia (born on February 23, 1974) of Delhi. She performed 67 push-ups in one minute, as confirmed on June 16, 2023. IT company celebrates Chandrayaan 3's moon landing

Mohali : Zapbuild Technologies - a leading IT company based in Mohali celebrated the Chandrayaan 3 soft landing on the moon on Wednesday.  Amit Sood, VP marketing, Zapbuild Technologies said, "We had set  up a mega screen to capture the live event and all were holding their breath in anticipation of the soft landing. There was enthusiasm among all our employees and all were seen cheering and celebrating as Chandrayaan 3 successfully landed. Five selected for International Karate Championship in UK

Chandigarh: Five Karate players have been selected for the International Championship in the UK. The chosen names were announced at the recently concluded 4th National Sikh Games Taekwondo Championship recently held in New Delhi under the aegis of the Sikh Games Federation of India. The 4th National Sikh Games Taekwondo Championship occurred at Kant Darshan Public School, New Delhi. In this championship, players Jaspreet Singh, Rupinder Singh, Simran Kaur, and Amandeep Kaur won gold medals, while Ranjit Singh and Jaswinder Kumar won the silver medals, and the bronze medal winners were Jagdeep Singh, Preetam Dass, Balram Hakla, Rohtas Singh, and Amit Kumar. Satnam Singh, general secretary, said that he and four other players including Simran Kaur, Jaspreet Singh, Rupinder Singh and Hardip Singh got selected for the upcoming International  Karate  Championship in the UK. Khanna to lead Indian Institute of Architects in Chandigarh

Chandigarh:  Architect Manmohan Khanna has been elected as the Chairman of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Chandigarh Chapter, for the term 2023-25, in the recently concluded elections. He holds the distinction of being the Founder Chairman of this newly created Chapter, founded in the year 2015, and continued to head the unit till 2021.
