Zirakpur: New Lifeline Superspeciality Hospital was inaugurated here today along with the launch of Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) facility. The facility was launched by Dr Muneesh Goel (MCh, CTVS). In his inaugural speech, Dr Praveer Goel, Managing Director, New Lifeline Superspeciality Hospital said, “ECMO is the ultimate life saving therapy in the world today available at very high end selected centers worldwide. This is a form of extra corpeal life support, where an external artificial circulator carries venous blood from the patient to a gas exchange device (Oxygenator) where blood is enriched with Oxygen and its Carbon Dioxide gets removed.
