Record holders honoured at first Convocation at IBR office

Faridabad:  The India Book of Records (IBR) honoured some of its exceptional stars at an elegant Convocation programme held at the IBR office premises in Faridabad on September 9, 2023. The 11 lucky participants were presented with a memento and sash by Mrs Neerja Roy Chowdhury, Managing Editor of the India Book of Records.  The IBR stars received a warm welcome, exclusive photoshoot, and media spotlight, and they were also given an opportunity to showcase their talent live. Dr Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, Chief Editor of IBR presented Achiever’s Kits to two record holders. The next Convocation@IBRoffice will take place on October 14, 2023. 4 more IPC sections registered against Electrical Contractors Kulbir Sawhney and Gurasees Sawhney for Fraud and Cheating

Mohali: Himanshu Kapoor, a resident of Kharrar, has brought to light that Arvindera Electricals, an electrical contracting firm based in Chandigarh has multiple FIR’s of fraud lodged against them. Owned by the father-son duo, Kulbir Sawhney and Gurasees Sawhney, the firm has a track record of very dubious and shady business practices, including cheating and committing fraud with vendors by not paying for materials ordered by them, and then go absconding, alleged Kapoor. In August 2020, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) had filed an FIR against Arvindera Electricals for an alleged fraud of Rs. 6 crores. Recently, another FIR was lodged against them, for a fraud amounting to Rs 5.25 crore at SAS Nagar (Mohali) Phase 1, and the bail application filed by Kulbir Sawhney and Gurasees Sawhney was rejected by the District Court.
