  New Delhi:  World renowned Buddhist Spiritual leader, Ven.  Bhikkhu Sanghasena , founder President and Spiritual Director,  Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC ), Leh-Ladakh,  was honoured with the “Respe ct Age International Award of Excellence 2019” at a special program held at India International Centre. The award was presented to Ven Sanghasena for his tireless services to the people of Ladakh particularly the old and destitute. He is also the founder president of Save the Himalayas Foundation. Protection of the Himalayas is highly required: Bhikkhu Sanghasena The  Chandigarh  chapter of Save the Himalayas Foundation (SHF) was formally launched on 2nd April, 2019 at Doon Public School, Sector 21, Panchkula by Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President, Mahabodhi International Meditation Center (MIMC), Leh. Sanghasena founded SHF in 2016 with the aim of protecting the land, nature, people, culture and values of the Himalayan region.
