Ashajit organises 8th Annual event 'Teeyan Teej diya' in Mohali at Hotel Anchorage .

Mohali: The stage was setup beautifully with items reflecting Punjabi culture i.e charkas, madhanis , daris, palkis, chullas , and great craft of Punjab in the form of phulkari, Punjabi jutties by Ms Ashajit and her friends. The event was lived with various Punjabi culture performances by Women and girls dress up in Punjabi attire. All participated in high spirits.

Traditional bollyian were sung to welcome guests and start of festival celebration. Newly married girls were presented with gifts as sandharas. Ms. Ashajit along will her gidda team Sona Pinky, Baljeet , Dr. Rabia Gund Advocate Amandeep Kaur , Satvir , Karamjit , Gurwant Dhaliwal, Rajinder Kaur , Jaspreet , Varinder , Gurjit kaur and Sangeeta uplift the event by Gidha performance at the end.

Along with entertainment and celebration, it was small efforts to promote, protect and keep Pubjabi culture and heritage alive in the hearts of everyone nationally and internationally. The event was a successful celebration. Ms Ashajit wishes all happy teej and all well-being.

Save the Himalayas Foundation Chandigarh Chapter launched

Protection of the Himalayas is highly required: Bhikkhu Sanghasena The  Chandigarh  chapter of Save the Himalayas Foundation (SHF) was formally launched on 2nd April, 2019 at Doon Public School, Sector 21, Panchkula by Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President, Mahabodhi International Meditation Center (MIMC), Leh. Sanghasena founded SHF in 2016 with the aim of protecting the land, nature, people, culture and values of the Himalayan region. Gurgaon:  In this critical pandemic situation of  Corona  virus, where whole world is battling with tough time. Iqbal Singh Anand, Chairman, ALP Group, along with his team members distributed 1200 food packets in  Delhi  and Gurgaon. Everyday ALP Group's 15 staff workers cook fresh food in the kitchen, taking full safety and hygiene precautions. Due to the COVID-19 nationwide lockdown, daily-wage workers are suffering the most. So food packets, groceries, sanitizers, face masks and soaps are being distributed by Iqbal Singh's team in various areas, including the slum areas of Delhi-NCR.
