Mumbai: The India Book of Records (IBR) is in the news once again for recognizing several top achievers in different fields. Some of these cases belong to the Asia Book of Records.
Maximum
push-ups performed by a female in one minute
The record
for performing the maximum number of push-ups in one minute was set by Shaleni
Banthia (born on February 23, 1974) of Delhi. She performed 67 push-ups in one
minute, as confirmed on June 16, 2023.
Female with maximum educational degrees
The record for receiving the maximum number of educational degrees was set by Dr. Edupuganti Padmaja Rani of Hyderabad, Telangana. She received 21 educational degrees including BSc, BEd, LLB, MSc/MEd- Maths, MA-Telugu/ Sanskrit/ Jyothisham/ Philosophy/ Predictive Astrology, PG Diploma in Engg, Vaastu, Medical Astrology, MPhil- Education, PhD Astrology, from various recognized universities.
The largest temple in the shape of lord Ganesha
The record for the largest temple in the shape of Lord Ganesha was set by Shree Siddhi Vinayak Devasthan, Mahemdavad, Gujarat. The temple was constructed between 2010 to 2014 and features the face of Lord Ganesha measuring 120.98 ft in length, 84.25 ft in breadth, and a height of 71 ft. The temple attracts numerous devotees every day from India and abroad.
Longest freestyle relay dance marathon
The record for the longest freestyle relay dance marathon was set by the Rotaract Club of SIMCA. A total of 80 participants in 10 teams of different age groups gathered together at the Sinhgad Institute of Management and Computer Application (SIMCA), Pune, and danced for 16 hours starting at 6 am and ending at 10 pm to set the record.
Max hula hoop spins in Lasso position on roller skates in 30 min
The record for performing the maximum number of hula hoop spins in the Lasso position on roller skates was set by Aaradhya Gupta (born on Oct 18, 2014) of Delhi. She performed 3592 hula hoop spins in the Lasso position (above her head) in 30 minutes while skating on roller skates, at the age of 8 years, 7 months, and 17 days.
Longest duration to perform Bharatanatyam by a child
The record for the longest duration to perform Bharatanatyam was set by Arnavi Sagar Racharlawar (born on June 17, 2015) of Wardha, Maharashtra. She started doing Bharatanatyam on Jun 4, 2023, at 10:46 am and performed continuously for 3hrs 39 minutes, which ended at 2:25 pm, at the auditorium of Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education & Research, Sawangi Meghe, Wardha at the age of 7 yrs 11 months and 18 days.
Maximum teams invited to perform on Guru Purnima by an individual
The record for inviting the maximum cultural teams to perform on Guru Purnima was set by Anga Upendra Varma (born on August 24, 1989) of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Celebrating the festival of Guru Purnima, he invited 30 cultural teams belonging to different states to perform cultural dance, band, and songs on different instruments during Guru Purnima at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Mangalagiri, Guntur district.
Maximum girls taught English grammar offline in a single session
The record for teaching maximum girls English Grammar offline in a single session was set by Praveen Chirayath (born on April 10, 1983) from Thrissur, Kerala. With a focus on women empowerment, he started his English Grammar class on June 2, 2023, at 10 am and taught different topics such as sentence construction, tenses, and application to 1148 girl students. The three-hour single-session class of English Grammar concluded at 1 pm in St Joseph College, Irinjalakuda. Following the session, the students also received a live assessment.
Maximum participants with disabilities performing yoga at a single venue
The record for the maximum number of participants with disabilities performing yoga at a single venue was set by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India. A total of 3068 participants with disabilities like intellectual disabilities, hearing, visual & locomotor, and many other disabilities in the age group of 13-40 years assembled together and performed Yoga for 30 minutes at the Kanha Shanti Vanam, Chegur, Telangana.
Doctors pledge for awareness on pneumococcal vaccine for protection
The record for the maximum number of doctors pledging to drive awareness on the use of pneumococcal vaccine for comprehensive disease protection was set by Pfizer Ltd., wherein 3374 Doctors participated and digitally pledged on a portal to support and drive awareness on Pneumococcal Vaccines. The Campaign was launched during World Immunization Week and ran from April 24, 2023, to May 5, 2023.
