GAIL India Celebrates International Women’s Day

New Delhi: Inspired by Prime Minister’s vision of promoting #NariShakti and as a tribute to its women employees of the organization, GAIL (India) Ltd. celebrated International Women’s Day at corporate office in Delhi.

This day is dedicated to celebrate the presence of women worldwide who are the anchor amidst all the chaos, our mothers, sisters, wives and daughters, who ask for nothing in return, but give everything to the ones they love. International Women’s Day is an opportunity to pay them back in appreciation.

A video was launched by GAIL on its social media platforms with the hash tag #EveryDayHerDay showcasing how woman are an important part of our lives every day. Women across all GAIL offices participated in the video and portrayed the various aspects of their lives and their contributions. Social media activation was also integrated along the video asking netizens to tag their special woman along with their special message to her.

GAIL employees had an option to choose from six different gift categories namely Passionate, Team Player, Risk Taker, Empathetic, Intellectual and Multitasker. They can choose their gift in the form of doll, handcrafted by fisherwomen from coastal villages of India, along with the respective message categories as a token of appreciation to their female colleagues, family members and friends for their skills, efforts and qualities.

The event saw a high turnout & digital engagement, where GAIL employees enthusiastically participated to gift Doll badges to their colleagues. GAIL aims at treasuring its employees as its best resources and believes in building a diversified workforce.
