Producer of The Kashmir Files and Govt should help Kashmiri Pandits: Acharya Manish

Chandigarh: The Kashmir Files, a film based on the atrocities done on Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley, is gaining popularity and being promoted by the people themselves. Even the producers haven't had to spend much on its publicity. In such a situation, the producers of the film should spend 50% of the income generated by the film on helping the victimized Kashmiri Pandit families, said Ayurveda and Meditation Guru - Acharya Manish.

Commenting on the movie, Acharya Manish said that it is heartbreaking to know about the atrocities done on Kashmiri Pandits by Islamic terrorists in the 1990s and their forced exodus from Kashmir valley. This tragedy has been portrayed well in the film. The audiences are getting to know the truth of 'Islamic Jihad' unleashed in the valley through this fact based portrayal of the 'Kashmiri Pandit genocide.'

He has also appealed to the government to support the victims' families of Kashmiri Pandits in relocating to Kashmir. It is noteworthy that the writer and director of the movie is Vivek Agnihotri, a sensitive filmmaker who portrays social issues perfectly. The actors of the movie include Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi among others. BW
