Chandigarh: A student recruitment Agent Networking Meet for study in Canada and UK was jointly organized by AdmitOffer.com, a software company based in Canada, and Admission Overseas - a leading overseas student immigration company in India.

A colorful Mahfil-e-Qawwali of music was held on this occasion to entertain the recruitment agents and guests. The event was supported by top Canadian colleges including Niagara College Toronto Campus, St. Lawrence College, Cambrian College, CDC Laval and Tamwood International College.

Himanshu Barthwal, CEO, Admission Overseas and Admit Offer, said that the global student demand and international student recruitment market is rebounding since falling dramatically in response to the pandemic, it is predicted that the market will witness an exponential growth of students applying to study abroad specially in Canada and UK after the vaccination drive.

BCCI and others face music on copyright issues

Mumbai:  The Recorded Music Performance Ltd (RMPL) the sole Copyright Society registered by the Government of India for managing Sound Recordings, has filed a suit for copyright infringement for songs played at the Gujarat Titans games played at Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad on behalf of one of its members. It is to be noted that a police complaint for copyright infringement of a song against Punjab Kings (PBKS) has been filed by RMPL in Mohali near  Chandigarh. A police complaint has also been made in Lucknow against Lucknow Supergiants (LSG). Raiganj’s Biplab Kumar receives appreciation from India Book of Records

Raiganj:  Biplab Kumar Mondal of Karnajora, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal , has received appreciation from the India Book of Records (IBR) for spreading Covid awareness messages among the people. Mondal spread this awareness in the villages, markets, localities by distributing kites to the kids with awareness messages written on them, by providing masks and offering sanitizers. He also delivered medicines from door-to-door and organized awareness by displaying posters and banners on the motorcycle. Mondal, born on September 1, 1978, said, “I started my activities from the very beginning of the spread of Covid-19 in our country. I went out on my motorcycle, hanging few banners and posters on it to make people aware. I taught the passers-by how to make a mask with tissue paper and a rubber band.
