New Delhi: GD Goenka International School, Surat , Gujarat has been appreciated by the India Book of Records (IBR) for organising Sports Mun-2020 Conference. There were six committees namely WHO, FIFA, IPL 1, IPL 2, IOC and IP. The event was divided into five committee sessions followed by socials and a Zumba session, as confirmed on January 12, 2021. GDGIS SPORTS MUN-2020 conference was held on December 30-31, 2020. Sports was introduced for the first time in MUN. Over 100 delegates registered and 25 schools participated, including the schools from Singapore and Sharjah. Principals of various schools and sports personalities participated in the opening as well as closing ceremonies. International press committee members took interviews and submitted their reports.   Visakhapatnam : Kalidindi Hardik Varma of West Godavari , Andhra Pradesh has got appreciation certificate from the India Book of Records (IBR) for participating in the National School Open Chess Championship (under six years) held in November 2019. The National School Open Chess Championship (under six years) 2019 was organised by the All India Chess Federation (AICF). Kalidindi Hardik Varma secured one out of nine points with 110th rank in the competition. The child, Kalidindi Hardik Varma, born on March 17, 2016 in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, won this chess competition at the tender age of three years and eight months only.
