The Rainbow Cause organized a self help camp for old people

PanchkulaThe Rainbow Cause (TRC), a registered non-profit society, organized a self-help and happiness programme – ‘Sunshine on a Cloudy Day’ for the inmates of the Red Cross Old Age Home recently. Over 50 persons attended the event, which included several young volunteers also.

The puppy therapy was also a part of the programme. The main speakers included, Mr Urvijay Brar, Academician, Jurist Academy, Chandigarh and Vikas Luthra, Founder, Furever Friends, who spoke on how a person can maintain a good attitude towards life even when he or she is extremely busy and stressed, because of tough routine.

The attendees were then taught about few techniques which would help them in coping with anxiety by Jagriti Mahajan, Founder of TRC, while Bhawna Dhamija, counsellor, Mount Carmel School taught appropriate breathing techniques.

The agenda of the programme was to help people become independent, when it comes to mental health, because not everyone has access to therapists and not everyone is comfortable in sharing their feelings.

Jagriti said “Every being is important, every creation of God needs help and everyone that crosses your path deserves to smile. This was the agenda of The Rainbow Cause, when it was started in April, 2018. TRC began with a very small insight that each and every soul is important and it has continued to spread it’s wing in the same way. TRC believes in Random Acts of Kindness.”
