Faculty Development Programme concluded

The Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED), Chandigarh, conducted a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on behalf of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), in active association of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran in the last week of February, 2019.

FDP aims at equipping teachers with knowledge and skills that are essential for inculcating entrepreneurial values in students and guiding and monitoring their progress towards entrepreneurial career. Through this FDP, 34 faculty members of different colleges and university in the field of entrepreneurship were trained.

Prof. PN Hricheekesha was the chief guest of the valedictory function, which was also attended by Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Director, CEC, Landran, Prof Manish Mahajan, HOD, CSE, Paramjit Singh, Director, RCED and Balbir Singh, Advisor, RCED.  The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between RCED and CGC Landran.

Kalidindi Hardik Varma of West Godavari gets appreciation for Chess

  Visakhapatnam : Kalidindi Hardik Varma of West Godavari , Andhra Pradesh has got appreciation certificate from the India Book of Records (IBR) for participating in the National School Open Chess Championship (under six years) held in November 2019. The National School Open Chess Championship (under six years) 2019 was organised by the All India Chess Federation (AICF). Kalidindi Hardik Varma secured one out of nine points with 110th rank in the competition. The child, Kalidindi Hardik Varma, born on March 17, 2016 in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, won this chess competition at the tender age of three years and eight months only. Gurgaon:  In this critical pandemic situation of  Corona  virus, where whole world is battling with tough time. Iqbal Singh Anand, Chairman, ALP Group, along with his team members distributed 1200 food packets in  Delhi  and Gurgaon. Everyday ALP Group's 15 staff workers cook fresh food in the kitchen, taking full safety and hygiene precautions. Due to the COVID-19 nationwide lockdown, daily-wage workers are suffering the most.
