Lifetime Achievement Award to Bhikkhu Sanghsena



Founder of Leh-Ladakh based Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Bhikkhu Sanghasena was honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the “World Management Congress” recently concluded in the national capital, for his remarkable contribution in the field of world peace and unforgettable service towards mankind. This award was given in the category of spirituality and religious studies. The centre runs a Mahabodhi Girls Hostel and a Mahabodhi Meditation Centre at Ramgarh, near here.

The Award was conferred by Dr Priya Ranjan Trivedi, Pro-Chancellor and Plenipotentiary, the Global Open University, Nagaland. The award was jointly given by International Association of Educators for World Peace (USA), the Global Open University, Nagaland, Confederation of Indian Universities, the Educational Standards and Testing Council of India and Clean Up the Earth. The program was held at India International Centre, New Delhi.

Bhikkhu Sanghasena, President, Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Leh-Ladakh, said, “I would love to express my kind gratitude towards the organizing committee of the World Management Congress. It is in fact one of the biggest milestones I could ever reach in my life. But my work does not come to an end here. It is a new chapter that I am going to open with more and more efforts to spread love, peace and harmony for the sake of mankind. My life is dedicated for the service of humanity.”

The felicitation ceremony became so graceful with the benign presence of many distinguished national and international guests, including the Ambassadors, Members of Parliament, Vice Chancellors and Principals and students of various universities, colleges and schools. At the same time students of various institutions spread the colourful fragrance when they performed on the stage to make this auspicious occasion memorable.
