Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati : Youngest patent holder from Jaipur

The record for being the youngest patent holder was set by Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati (born on September 3, 2002) of Jaipur, Rajasthan. He invented a six-player Circular Chess Board, for which he received the patent on July 26, 2011 (Design no. 238319), at the age of 8 years, 10 months and 23 days, as confirmed on December 28, 2020. Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati is an "Amazing Youth from Jaipur" and 'Gem of Rajasthan'.

He said, “Bringing pride for my country is the greatest inspiration in my case. I took India to top in the world in the field of ‘Number of Chess Variants invented’. Chess was initially invented in India and I have taken it forward by inventing 6, 12, and 60 players Circular Chess. This has been done for the first time in the world. I felt very happy to get the India Book of Records certificate, as it is registered with the Government of India and has a great reputation.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about Hridayeshwar on 24th January 2020 at 7:02 pm, as the Youngest Patent Holder of India and World's Youngest Differently-Abled Patent Holder, saying "Hridayeshwar is a genius inventor, who is suffering from a fatal disease - Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy causing 85% disability, but despite the extreme hardships, he took name and glory of India to the next level. His Pioneering work makes chess even more popular among the youth. I hope he continues to innovate and ideate with the same zeal in the times to come.”

Hridayeshwar feels great to possess a never ending and ever increasing determination, despite his health getting worse day by day. His ideal is Stephen Hawking, a space scientist who was suffering from the same disease. His mother Dr Meenakshi Kanwar is an Assistant Professor at Shri Bhawani Niketan College, Jaipur and teaches English Literature. His father Sarower Singh Bhati is a National Awardee in Mathematics.

Hridayeshwar says that the only disability is low self esteem. Anger and greed are also disabilities, however they can be controlled. He feels that his greatest strength is his positive approach towards life. BlogsWire
