Hawa Singh : Salman Khan unveils the first look of the biopic

Sports films or rather biopics on sports personalities are the flavour of the season in Hindi films and with few exciting films announced on sports and sportsmen, a new story is all set to roll with young Sooraj Pancholi playing none other than legendary boxer Hawa Singh, who was better known as the Father of Indian Boxing. Based on the true story of the iconic heavyweight boxer, the film will be directed by Prakash Nambiar, while it will be produced by Sam S Fernandes and Kamlesh Singh Kushwaha.  The first look of the film that will go on floor soon, was unveiled by none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on his Twitter .  The superstar seems mighty impressed by Sooraj for getting into the mind space of Hawa Singh and working on his body for the brawny look required in the film. Law Officer Dr Hemant Garg honoured in Australia

Ludhiana: Dr Hemant Garg, Law officer working at Punjab State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank Ltd Chandigarh, was invited at 14th International Cooperative Alliance Research Conference, held recently at University of New Castle , New south Wales , Australia  to present his research on the "Role of Cooperatives in Developing Food Processing in Punjab ”. His paper received applaud and he was honoured for his valuable suggestion to improve food processing in the state. His research paper was widely appreciated and he became the only Indian to be invited twice to the same international level conference in two consecutive years,   the last time at 13th International Cooperative Alliance Conference, which was held at University of Wageningen, Netherlands, where his research paper "Digital Governance in Cooperatives" recieved wide acclaim and recognition and an award for the best research paper on cooperative governance was given to him. Trailer of ‘Doordarshan’ receives huge response

The trailer of Arya Films’ “Doordarshan” has been unveiled and it seems that the Manu Rishi Chadha, Mahie Gill and Dolly Ahluwalia starrer has won hearts with its comical one-liners and is touted to be “the small film with big heart” that is being awaited. There are several memes and jokes floating on internet after the trailer has gone viral. Film producer Sandeep Arya says, “The story of the film revolves around a grandmother, played by National award-winning veteran actress Dolly Ahluwalia, who was bedridden and in a coma since 1989.
